Communicating with animals and other life forms is without a doubt one of the magical abilities I would most like to have. I first got the idea for this drawing-spell when I was living in the forest, back in 2014, while the tropical screech-owls (curucutú) were singing in the tree just outside my house. Their intriguing and mysterious sounds made me think that outside there were little witches hand-crafting spells to talk to the other living creatures.
